Role Overview:
The ED Technician provides direct and indirect patient care under medical direction, supporting physicians and nurses in an emergency department setting. They ensure care is delivered according to policies, procedures, and established standards, while collecting pertinent clinical and psychosocial data and reporting findings to the RN and attending physician. Their responsibilities include supporting excellent patient care, patient advocacy, and fostering a collaborative environment.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Current Florida Paramedic certification
- Specialty certifications: BLS, ACLS
- Minimum of one year Paramedic experience
- High School Diploma or GED and graduation from an approved Paramedic Program
- Demonstrated clinical skills in pre-hospital and critical care transport preferred
- Ability to adhere to hospital policies and maintain professional standards
