Role:
CT Technologist responsible for performing diagnostic computed tomography (CT) scans, producing high-quality images, and exercising professional judgment during procedures.
Responsibilities:
Operate CT equipment, ensure patient care, initiate life support when necessary, interact effectively with patients, staff, and physicians. May perform related procedures such as mobile imaging, EKG, cardiac monitor placement, and DEXA scans. Develop an understanding of patient physical and emotional status, working well with all age groups.
Qualifications & Skills:
Completion of accredited Radiologic Technology training, ARRT certification, BLS and IV certification within six weeks. CT training or experience preferred; CT certification within two years is desirable. Licensure requirements vary by state, including North Dakota, South Dakota, and Iowa.
Key Duties:
Perform diagnostic radiology procedures, adapt to new technology, and potentially participate in on-call rotations based on facility needs. Maintain patient safety, quality standards, and professional communication.
