Role Overview:
The Nursing Assistant (NA) provides resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance under RN supervision. Responsibilities include assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, vital signs, psychosocial support, transfers, range of motion exercises, and meal support. The NA documents care interactions, communicates changes to nursing staff, and supports wellness and recreational activities. They also assist with housekeeping, laundry, and may participate in committees.
Qualifications & Skills:
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Minimum age of 16
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification required or in process
- Ability to follow infection control policies and proper transfer techniques
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Willingness to participate in ongoing training and continuing education
Deliver compassionate care, support daily activities, assist with basic health needs, document resident interactions, and foster a positive environment for residents. May be involved in driving responsibilities if applicable.
