Box Truck Driver

LIV Motors Corp is seeking a dependable, professional, and experienced Non-CDL Box Truck Driver for local transportation and delivery work. The position involves operating a 26-foot box truck with a GVWR of 26,000 lbs. or less. Candidates must have prior experience operating a commercial box truck of similar size and be comfortable maneuvering in a variety of driving, loading, and delivery environments.

Essential Functions & Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate a 26-foot Non-CDL box truck with a GVWR of 26,000 lbs. or less.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections before and after every shift.
• Inspect tires, brakes, lights, mirrors, fluids, liftgate/equipment, cargo area, and other safety-related components before operating the vehicle.
• Immediately report any mechanical problems, damage, warning lights, or safety concerns to management.
• Confirm that the contents of each shipment match all manifests, bills of lading, delivery paperwork, or other required documentation.
• Maintain and properly submit proof-of-delivery (POD) documentation and other required paperwork.
• Ensure all cargo is properly loaded, distributed, and secured to prevent shifting, breakage, loss, or damage during transportation.
• Safely operate a liftgate, pallet jack, hand truck/dolly, and other delivery equipment, when required.
• Assist with loading and unloading freight when necessary.
• Follow assigned routes and delivery schedules while maintaining safe and responsible driving practices.
• Communicate promptly with dispatch, management, customers, warehouses, and receiving locations regarding pickups, deliveries, delays, or other issues.
• Maintain accurate driving, delivery, mileage, and work-hour records as required by the company.
• Follow all applicable federal, state, local, and company safety regulations and policies.
• Obey all traffic laws and operate the vehicle responsibly in changing weather, traffic, and road conditions.
• Exercise caution when backing, parking, entering loading docks, navigating narrow areas, and operating in congested locations.
• Never operate a company vehicle while distracted, impaired, fatigued, or in an unsafe manner.
• Keep the truck's cab and cargo area clean, organized, and professional at all times.
• Complete additional transportation and delivery-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid driver's license required.
• CDL is not required for this position.
• Minimum 2 years of verifiable experience operating a box truck preferred, particularly 24–26 ft. commercial vehicles.
• Must have a clean and acceptable Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• Must demonstrate safe driving habits and a strong understanding of operating a large commercial vehicle.
• Must be comfortable maneuvering and parking a 26-foot box truck, including backing into loading docks and operating in tight spaces.
• Must be able to pass all required background checks and drug screening upon hire, as applicable.
• Must be physically capable of performing the duties associated with the position, including entering/exiting the vehicle and handling freight.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. as needed.
• Experience using GPS, navigation applications, and other routing systems.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain accurate delivery documentation.
• Must be punctual, disciplined, hardworking, dependable, and reliable.
• Strong communication and time-management skills.
• Ability to remain composed and make safe decisions in stressful traffic, delivery, and weather conditions.
• Must maintain a professional attitude and appearance when interacting with customers, vendors, warehouses, and other business partners.
• Must be able to communicate effectively in English to the extent necessary to safely perform job duties and understand required instructions, signs, and documentation.
