What are the responsibilities and job description for the Experienced Barista position at Liv Breads Artisan Bakery and Coffee Bar?
We take our coffee as seriously as our hand-crafted, artisan food and are looking experienced baristas with a passion for coffee and hospitality. Our baristas provide a positive and quality customer experience to customers to craft high quality drinks in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This position requires enjoying a fast-paced environment. Managing tickets while maintaining quality is key!
In order to be considered for this position, you will have experience with a manual machine such as a La Marzocco, backflushing, microfoam steaming & latte art. Experience with dialing in a machine at beginning of service and throughout the day is preferred, but not required.
We partner closely with Counter Culture Coffee for access to their training center, classes, and an opportunity to work with expert baristas. This is a wonderful opportunity for experienced baristas to learn from the pros and refine their skills!

Job responsibilities:
- Dial-in espresso machine at the beginning of the day, and throughout the day as necessary
- Expertly steam milk to the correct texture and temperature
- Prepare coffee and espresso drinks according to our menu and customer specifications
- Prepare batch iced coffee and tea
- Prepare batch bottled drinks
- Expedite bar tickets, working closely with a bar back for support
- Provide friendly and helpful service to customers with a focus on hospitality, including answer questions, refilling coffees, running drinks to tables.
- Follow and comply with all applicable health and sanitation requirements
Skills and qualifications
- At least 6-12 months experience working on a La Marzocco or similar manual machine.
- Ability to dial in a manual machine, steam to proper temperature and produce micro foam, experiencing learning a menu of drinks and adhering to standards.
- High energy and engaging personality, professional demeanor, customer-service focused, ability to handle high-volume service.
- Available for full-time work, with scheduling capacity to work flexible hours including mornings, weekends and holidays
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance
- Have a passion for, and curiosity about, delicious and quality coffee, breads and baked goods!
