Littleton Care and Rehabilitation Center is seeking an organized, dependable, and people-focused Staffing & Central Supply Coordinator to join our team.
This position is responsible for coordinating and maintaining the facility’s nursing and CNA schedules, helping ensure appropriate daily staffing coverage, and overseeing central supply inventory.
The ideal candidate is proactive, highly organized, comfortable communicating with employees, and able to solve staffing challenges in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Nursing & CNA Staffing and Scheduling
- Develop, maintain, and coordinate nurse and CNA schedules for the facility
- Ensure appropriate nursing and CNA coverage based on facility census and staffing needs
- Work closely with the Director of Nursing and facility leadership to proactively identify staffing needs
- Manage call-offs, schedule changes, shift coverage, PTO requests, and open shifts
- Communicate directly with nurses and CNAs regarding scheduling and available shifts
- Assist with filling open shifts while minimizing overtime and agency utilization
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date staffing schedules and records
- Track attendance, call-offs, tardiness, and staffing trends
- Coordinate nursing schedules for new-hire orientation and training
- Help develop and maintain a dependable PRN staffing pool
- Build positive working relationships with nurses and CNAs to support employee retention and consistent staffing
- Anticipate upcoming staffing gaps and work proactively to resolve them before they impact resident care
Central Supply
- Manage and organize the facility’s central supply inventory
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure appropriate nursing and resident-care supplies are available
- Order supplies based on facility needs
- Receive, stock, organize, and distribute supplies
- Maintain clean, organized, and properly labeled supply areas
- Monitor supply utilization and help reduce unnecessary waste and expenses
- Work with vendors and facility leadership to address supply needs and order discrepancies
- Maintain accurate supply and inventory records
What We’re Looking For
- Active Colorado CNA certification required
- Current CPR/BLS certification required
- Strong organizational and time-management skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and respond effectively to changing staffing needs
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Comfortable communicating directly with nurses and CNAs
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of the nursing and CNA schedules
- Basic computer skills and ability to learn scheduling and healthcare software
- Previous healthcare staffing or scheduling experience preferred
- Skilled nursing or long-term care experience strongly preferred
- Central supply or inventory management experience is a plus
- Dependable, proactive, and able to problem-solve in a fast-paced healthcare environment
