About the Role
A healthcare organization in the Denver Metro area is seeking an experienced, hands-on Maintenance Director to oversee facility maintenance operations and ensure a safe, well-maintained, and regulatory-compliant environment.
The ideal candidate is a strong problem solver who takes ownership, stays ahead of preventative maintenance needs, and understands the importance of safety, compliance, organization, and responsiveness within a healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day maintenance and physical plant operations
- Maintain a safe, clean, functional, and well-maintained facility
- Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs and schedules
- Prioritize and complete maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner
- Ensure compliance with applicable Life Safety Code, CMS, OSHA, fire safety, and other regulatory requirements
- Maintain required inspection, testing, and maintenance documentation
- Coordinate and oversee outside vendors, contractors, repairs, and facility projects
- Monitor building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, lighting, fire/life-safety systems, and general building equipment
- Conduct routine facility inspections and proactively identify maintenance or safety concerns
- Participate in emergency preparedness planning, drills, and response
- Assist with budgeting, purchasing, inventory management, and controlling maintenance expenses
- Work collaboratively with facility leadership and other departments to support overall operations
- Maintain readiness for regulatory surveys and inspections
Qualifications
- Previous maintenance or facilities management experience required
- Healthcare, senior living, skilled nursing, hospital, or other regulated-facility experience strongly preferred
- Working knowledge of building systems, preventative maintenance, and general repairs
- Familiarity with Life Safety Code and healthcare regulatory requirements preferred
- Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize competing needs and respond effectively to urgent facility issues
- Strong sense of accountability and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently while functioning as part of a leadership team

Schedule: Full-Time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
