What You'll Be Doing
As an Engineering & LEGO Instructor, you will:
- Lead exciting, hands-on LEGO engineering and robotics projects from ACE’s themed curriculum. All material/ lesson plans will be provided
- Create a fun and supportive classroom atmosphere where kids feel safe to build, experiment, and ask questions.
- Encourage collaboration and creative thinking through group projects and design challenges.
- Keep materials organized and sessions running smoothly each day.
- Engage with campers and families to ensure an excellent camp experience.
Who We're Looking For
· Kid Enthusiasts: You enjoy working with kids and know how to keep them engaged and excited.
· STEM Champions: You’re passionate about engineering principles, hands-on building, and introducing kids to the world of design thinking and invention.
· Engineering-Minded Makers: You have experience with project-based learning, design challenges, or engineering competitions (like science fairs, maker fairs, or engineering clubs). Backgrounds in mechanical design, robotics, or structural engineering are a big plus.
What You’ll Need
- Currently pursuing a college degree (engineering, architecture, design, or education preferred).
- Nice to have Experience with LEGO robotics platforms (Mindstorms, WeDo, Spike Prime, etc.).
- Must be punctual, reliable, and energetic.
- CPR/First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must pass a TB test and DOJ fingerprint/background clearance.
