Responsibilities
- Lead daily classroom routines, including feeding, diapering, nap times, and age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, and emotional development.
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with early childhood education standards and individual child needs.
- Monitor and document each child's developmental progress, communicating regularly with parents about milestones and concerns.
- Ensure a safe, clean, and stimulating environment by adhering to health and safety regulations, including pediatric first aid and CPR protocols.
- Manage classroom behavior through positive guidance strategies and effective behavior management techniques.
- Collaborate with team members to plan special events, parent meetings, and educational workshops that support family engagement.
- Maintain compliance with mandated reporting laws and childcare licensing requirements at all times.
Requirements
- Proven experience working with infants or toddlers in daycare centers or preschool settings.
- Strong knowledge of childhood development instruction, early childhood education practices, and classroom management.
- Certification in first aid, CPR (Childhood First Aid), and pediatric first aid is required; ongoing training preferred.
- Experience working with children with disabilities or special needs is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills for parent interaction, team collaboration, and documentation purposes.
- Ability to nurture a caring environment while maintaining high standards of safety and supervision.
- Knowledge of mandated reporting laws related to child welfare is essential.
