About Little Hen
Little Hen is a stylish, high-volume brunch restaurant known for beautiful food, specialty coffee, brunch cocktails, and warm hospitality. We are opening our Fort Lauderdale location and are looking for experienced Baristas / Bartenders to join our opening team.
This position requires strong coffee skills, cocktail knowledge, speed, organization, and excellent guest service.
Position: Barista / Bartender
The Barista / Bartender is responsible for preparing high-quality coffee drinks, executing latte art, making brunch cocktails, maintaining the bar area, and supporting a smooth guest experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare espresso drinks, teas, matcha, lattes, and specialty beverages according to Little Hen standards
- Create consistent latte art — required for this position
- Prepare brunch cocktails, mimosas, champagne cocktails, and other bar beverages
- Follow recipes, measurements, and presentation standards
- Maintain speed and quality during high-volume brunch service
- Keep the coffee/bar station clean, stocked, and organized
- Follow proper labeling, dating, FIFO, and sanitation procedures
- Check glassware, garnishes, syrups, juices, and bar prep before service
- Communicate with servers, managers, and kitchen during service
- Provide friendly and professional guest service at the bar
- Assist with opening, closing, and cleaning duties
Requirements
- Previous barista experience required
- Latte art experience is a must
- Bartending experience preferred
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Strong attention to detail and beverage presentation
- Knowledge of espresso machines, grinders, and milk steaming
- Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented
- Must be available weekends and holidays
- Food handler certification preferred
- Responsible vendor/alcohol certification preferred
