Must be able and willing to work a 2pm-6:45/7:00 pm shift daily Monday-Friday
Duties
- Assist lead teachers in supervising and engaging toddlers during daily activities, playtime, and nap times
- Support classroom management by maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Help implement age-appropriate curriculum activities focused on childhood development and early learning milestones
- Communicate effectively with parents about their child's day, progress, and any concerns, fostering strong parent-teacher relationships
- Support classroom routines such as diapering, feeding, and diaper changing with sensitivity and adherence to health standards
- Participate in ongoing training related to child development instruction, first aid, CPR, and mandated reporting laws
- Contribute to behavior management strategies that promote positive social interactions among children
Qualifications
- Prior experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or childcare settings is highly preferred
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Certification in pediatric first aid and CPR is required; ongoing training encouraged
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special education needs is a plus
- Strong communication skills for effective parent interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to handle child supervision responsibilities with patience, enthusiasm, and professionalism
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
- Must be reliable, energetic, and committed to supporting young children's growth and learning
