Duties
- Record and process all journal entries using accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Perform bank reconciliations and general ledger reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, including invoice processing and payment tracking
- Conduct balance sheet reconciliation and account analysis to verify financial integrity
- Prepare detailed financial reports, including budget summaries and financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
- Maintain accurate records of payroll, tax filings, and governmental reporting requirements
- Assist with audit preparations by providing necessary documentation and supporting schedules
Skills
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks
- Strong understanding of corporate accounting principles and non-profit accounting practices
- Knowledge of GAAP standards, double entry bookkeeping, and general ledger accounting
- Experience with bank reconciliation, account reconciliation, and journal entries
- Familiarity with governmental accounting procedures and tax experience is a plus
- Ability to perform 10 key typing accurately for data entry tasks
- Excellent analytical skills for account analysis and account reconciliation tasks
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for balance sheet reconciliation and financial report writing
- Effective communication skills for collaborating with team members and external auditors
