DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure that work and cleaning schedules are followed; coordinate daily laundry services with other departments advise supervisor of supply needs.
- Attend and participate in training, education activities and staff meetings; assist in orientation and training other staff.
- Collect, launder and distribute linens, garments, etc. in accordance with facility procedures.
- Properly maintain all equipment.
- Ensure work areas are clean and safe, ensure policies covering infection control.
- Health and safety hazardous materials, etc,are strictly followed.
- High school diploma preferred.
- Demonstrate adequate English oral and writing skills.
- Must have a high level of organizational skills, initiative, creativity, and communicate well with others.
- Must have ability to read, write and follow oral and written directions at a level necessary to accomplish the job.
- Must be able to relate positively and favorably to residents and families and to work cooperatively with other associates.
- Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance.
- Must meet all local health regulations, and pass post-employment physical exam if required. Must be capable of lifting as much as 40 lbs.
- Must be capable of performing the Essential Job Functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
