A premium fully cooked frozen food manufacturer specializing in high-quality sous vide products, operating in a safe, modern production environment.
Position Summary
The Quality Assurance Supervisor oversees and supports food safety and quality programs to ensure compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements. Working closely with a team of Food Scientists, this role is instrumental in maintaining SQF certification, supporting audits, and driving continuous improvement across production and distribution.
Qualifications & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or a related field
SQF Practitioner Certificate preferred
Minimum 3 years of quality and food safety management experience in a USDA-regulated food manufacturing facility
Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills
Proven leadership, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities
Key Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and maintain Food Safety and Quality SOPs
Ensure compliance with SQF Food Safety and Quality Codes through verification and validation
Support internal and external audits (USDA, FDA, Health Department, Military Veterinary Command, third-party certifiers)
Oversee prerequisite programs including sanitation, pest control, allergen management, supplier approval, maintenance, and environmental/product testing
Perform daily quality control activities and monitor production for regulatory compliance
Investigate customer complaints and non-conformances; conduct root cause analysis and implement CAPAs
Drive continuous improvement initiatives in collaboration with QA and Production teams
Communicate quality expectations clearly to plant staff and leadership
