Responsibilities
- Design, deploy, and manage enterprise Windows operating systems, ensuring optimal performance and security compliance.
- Develop and implement system hardening procedures to safeguard against vulnerabilities and threats.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to architect scalable solutions leveraging Service-oriented architecture (SOA) principles.
- Automate system administration tasks using scripting languages such as PowerShell and Bash to improve efficiency.
- Monitor system health using tools like VMware, WDS (Windows Deployment Services), and other virtualization platforms; perform load balancing and system tuning.
- Conduct vulnerability assessments, threat intelligence analysis, and implement remediation strategies aligned with information security standards.
- Manage network configurations including VPNs, firewalls, DHCP, DNS, and other core computer networking components to ensure secure connectivity.
- Support cloud integration efforts utilizing AWS, Azure, or hybrid environments while maintaining cloud security best practices.
- Maintain documentation of system architecture, configurations, and operational procedures following SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) protocols.
- Participate in Agile development cycles; support CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins or similar tools for continuous integration and deployment.
- Provide system administration technical support for the Windows server systems in a multi-platform environment (On Premise, Physical and Virtual, VMware, Citrix, Horizon)
- Provide guidance to the utilization of the Windows Operating System (OS) in the architecture.
- Provide technical support on current Supporting versions of Windows servers, system analyst support and configuration.
- Provide consulting and technical advice and problem resolution for development of application programs and system interfaces.
- Continuously document and share system information with fellow associates as configuration, program or technical changes are made or occur.
- Support urgent case (including non-office hour and weekend)
Skills
- Extensive experience with Windows Server environments, including system administration and system design.
- Strong understanding of operating systems such as Linux and UNIX alongside Windows for hybrid infrastructure management.
- Proficiency in scripting languages including PowerShell, Shell Scripting, Python, Bash (Unix shell), and Ruby on Rails for automation tasks.
- Knowledge of virtualization technologies like VMware ESXi, Hyper-V, and VMware vSphere for efficient resource management.
- Familiarity with container orchestration platforms such as Kubernetes for microservices deployment.
- Expertise in network security concepts including VPNs, firewalls, DNS management, load balancing solutions like Meraki or similar tools.
- Experience with database systems such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle; understanding of SQL/T-SQL/PL/SQL queries.
- Ability to perform vulnerability management assessments using industry-standard tools; implement system hardening techniques to mitigate risks.
- Strong grasp of RESTful APIs, Web services (SOAP), DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines; familiarity with Git version control.
- Knowledge of cloud security principles across AWS and Azure platforms; experience managing cloud infrastructure securely.

Requirements:
- 3 years of experience as a Windows Systems Engineer.
- Hands-on with VMware VCF, Window servers
- Advanced skills in PowerShell Script is a must.
- Advanced skills with Active Directory Services, Server Manager, DNS, Domain Group Policy Management and Domain Replication.
- Strong experience Windows clustering, AD and Windows Server Update Services and support.
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently.
- Ability to work well without supervision and collaborate with a team on various projects.
Pay: From $7,400.00 per month
