Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and energetic Senior DevOps Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and management of our cloud infrastructure and automation pipelines. Duties

• Architect, implement, and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure utilizing tools like Terraform, OpenStack, and VMware to support enterprise applications.
• Develop and manage container orchestration solutions using Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift to streamline deployment workflows.
• Automate system provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment with Ansible, Puppet, Chef, PowerShell, Bash scripting, and other automation tools.
• Monitor system health and application performance using New Relic, Splunk, Elasticsearch, and other log analysis tools; proactively troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime.
• Collaborate with development teams to establish CI/CD pipelines leveraging Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, TFS (Team Foundation Server), GitHub, and Maven for seamless software releases.
• Implement robust security measures including firewall configurations, identity & access management (IAM), cloud security protocols, disaster recovery plans, and incident response strategies.
• Manage IT infrastructure components such as WebSphere, Weblogic, JBoss application servers; optimize database systems like MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle; ensure high availability and disaster recovery readiness.
• Lead efforts in system testing, software troubleshooting, incident management, release management, and requirements gathering to support agile software development cycles.
• 9 years in DevOps, web based related system development including Java experience in developing or maintaining intranet systems.
• The below experience is required for a successful candidate in the below priority order
• Priority 1: Database Experience – Oracle based data modeling, SQL, Procedure development, DB tuning experience
• Priority 2: Front-End Development Experience – preferably with Kendo UI with VUE
• Priority 3: Back-End Development Experience – Java(Spring Boot) backend API development
• Priority 4: ETL: Alteryx Experience

Requirements

• Proven experience in DevOps engineering within enterprise environments supporting SaaS solutions.
• Deep knowledge of cloud computing platforms including AWS, Google Cloud Platform, Azure; strong understanding of cloud infrastructure design principles.
• Extensive hands-on experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes; familiarity with virtualization platforms like VMware.
• Proficiency in scripting languages including Python, Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell; experience with Groovy or Perl is a plus.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure components such as TCP/IP networking protocols; DNS; Active Directory; LAN/WAN networks; TCP/IP socket programming.
• Expertise in configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet or Chef; experience with continuous integration tools such as Jenkins or GitLab CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of enterprise middleware including WebSphere Application Server (WAS), Weblogic; familiarity with microservices architecture using RESTful APIs.
• Ability to manage databases such as MySQL, Microsoft SQL Server; experience with T-SQL or PL/SQL scripting for database administration.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on system testing, debugging complex issues across distributed systems.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer science or related discipline with an information technology focus
• API development experiences are plus
• ETL development experience with ETL Tools (Alteryx, Oracle Data Integrator, MS SQL SSIS, etc.) preferred
• BI reporting tool (Tableau, MS Power BI, etc.) development experiences are preferred
• Full lifecycle of ETL implementation understanding preferred (analysis, architecture, design, development, data extraction, staging and storage, transformation, presentation, testing, cutover/go-live planning)
• Bilingual (Korean and English) required in order to work with outsourced development team in South Korea
