Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor industrial material handling equipment, including forklifts and material transfer systems, to facilitate smooth bulk chemical and pharmaceutical production.
- Assist in scaling up processes from laboratory to production scale by following detailed manufacturing standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process instructions.
- Handle industrial chemicals safely, adhering to all safety protocols, including the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as respiratory protection and chemical-resistant gloves.
- Maintain strict compliance with pharmaceutical regulatory standards such as Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Current Good Manufacturing Practice (CGMP), ensuring all activities meet legal and quality requirements.
- Support equipment setup, machining, cleaning, calibration, and troubleshooting to ensure optimal performance during scale-up operations.
- Conduct routine inspections of manufacturing areas for safety hazards, ensuring adherence to safety protocols related to chemical handling and PPE usage.
- Document process parameters, batch records, and incident reports accurately to support regulatory audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing or industrial chemical production environments with knowledge of GMP and CGMP standards.
- Mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate material handling equipment such as forklifts and other industrial machinery safely.
- Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles aimed at reducing waste and improving process efficiency.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols including chemical agent handling, respiratory protection, PPE usage, and laboratory safety procedures.
- Basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and data recording essential for process control.
- Experience with packaging operations and materials handling within a manufacturing setting is preferred.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions precisely while maintaining flexibility in a fast-paced environment.
