Job Title: Programmer / Setup Machinist
Schedule: Monday – Friday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM
Pay Range: $26 – $32 per hour
Employment Type: Contract to Hire
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Programmer/Setup Machinist to join our manufacturing team in a contract-to-hire role. This position requires strong machining knowledge, hands-on programming experience, and the ability to set up and run precision CNC equipment in a job shop environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up CNC machines for production runs
- Program at the machine using G & M codes (Fanuc controller) and/or Mazatrol
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
- Perform offsets and make necessary machine adjustments
- Change and manage cutting tools as required
- Inspect parts and ensure quality standards are met throughout production
- Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize setups for efficiency and accuracy
Qualifications
- 10 years of CNC machining and setup experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of blueprint reading and geometric tolerancing
- Experience with on-machine programming (Fanuc and/or Mazatrol)
- Ability to perform precise setups in a job shop or production environment
- Strong attention to detail and quality control mindset
- Ability to work independently and solve problems on the floor
