Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Technician to support the assembly and testing of underwater neutrino detectors. The Technician will work under the direction of project staff to assist with scintillator plane assembly and testing for detector systems. This is an on-site role requiring hands-on experience with heavy assembly and equipment handling.
Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the assembly of detector planes

Support testing of detector components

Move and position heavy equipment safely using floor jacks, cranes, and other lifting tools

Report assembly activities and progress to the project lead
Qualifications:

Minimum of 3 years’ experience in system or component assembly

Experience with heavy assembly work and handling of large equipment

Proficient in using floor jacks, cranes, and other lifting/moving equipment

Ability to work on-site in Batavia, IL for the duration of the project
Deliverables:

Detailed reporting of assembly activities to the Principal Investigator (PI)
