Job Purpose
The Technology & Media Assistant is responsible for providing school media circulation and first level technology related assistance to all District end users using a combination of phone, email, and onsite support. The individual must clearly communicate technical solutions in a user-friendly, professional manner; provide one-on-one end-user training as needed, and perform ticket entry in addition to performing physical repairs, maintenance, setup, cataloging, and inventory.
Qualifications
Excellent written and verbal communication, strong analytical and problem solving skills, willingness to learn, focus on customer service, proficient with Microsoft applications, proficient with Google G Suite, Chrome OS, and Windows Desktop, experience with supporting mobile devices and operating systems, experience supporting VoIP phone systems, experience supporting Information System and third-party applications, basic understanding of printing/scanning in a networked environment, and a basic understanding of TCT/IP networking and wireless networking.

Job Purpose

Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent is required.
- A certification and/or related Associate’s degree preferred.
- Media Center and Follet Destiny experience preferred
- Must be properly licensed and insurable under district group policies as a regular driver of the district.
- Provides support for first level technology related issues via phone, email, and/or onsite.
- Utilizes help desk for reference and quality control purposes.
- Escalates help desk issues when additional expertise is needed.
- Assist Director and Technology Integration Specialist in performing repairs, maintenance, setup, and configuration on District issued technology related hardware, and software.
- Assists technology users with actual use of District technology and media.
- Performs troubleshooting on various District issued, as well as, personal mobile devices when related to school business, when reasonable.
- Works with building Administrator to set schedule and priorities for building media services.
- Analyze media collection to forecast purchasing and weeding decisions.
- Maintains district resource manager and media catalog.
- Repair, sort, store, catalog, inventory, and shelve media.
- Recover missing materials and administer fines.
- Performs building site visits as time permits to address technology and media related needs as part of a proactive approach to support.
- Participate in weekly media and technology team meetings.
- Maintain regular and consistent in-person attendance and punctuality.
- Have reliable transportation.
- Adhere to District health and safety procedures.
- Adhere to Board policies.
- Other duties as assigned.
