Job Title and Overview
The purpose of this position is to perform a variety of skilled tasks to maintain and repair the building facilities and vehicles owned by LWSRA. Also oversees the building maintenance staff.
Essential Job Functions

Developing and managing related maintenance programs, complying with safety standards, inspections, repair and replacement schedules, and accompanying records.

Involved in interviewing, hiring, and training facilities staff as well as the supervision of that staff to ensure proper upkeep of agency facilities, building, and grounds.

Manages daily maintenance, repairs, budgets and staffing and collaborates with the Director for budgeting for facility needs.

Responsible for maintenance and repair of buildings and facilities to include plumbing, carpentry, painting, light construction, basic electrical, preventative maintenance to heating and air conditioning etc.

Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces including preparation for changing weather conditions.

Ensuring proper security measures for the workplace, including collaborating with security system vendors or a team of security professionals

Attends meetings, conferences, related workshops and professional development opportunities.

Education and Experience

High School or Bachelor’s Degree

Knowledge of grounds, vehicle, and building maintenance.

CPRP certification desired.

OSHA 30 certification desired

Must have good written and oral communication, budget experience, and problem solving skills.
Compensation and Benefits

Salary Range: $51,000-$65,000

Hours of work |
Fulltime, non-exempt position. Must work at least 40 hours a week. Hours over 40 will be considered overtime. Position is on-call even when not on duty. Needs to work major weekend events. |

Safety Responsibilities |
Oversee the safety of vehicles and buildings of LWSRA. OSHA 30 certified. |

Environmental Considerations |
May be required to work outdoors during various weather conditions, including hot or cold temperatures. |

Must have a current Illinois Driver’s License and be able to drive agency vehicles. |
