What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Inpatient - Nights position at Lincoln Surgical Hospital/Nebraska Surgery Center?

We are looking for exceptional people to provide extraordinary care as a Certified Nursing Assistant.
Hours: Full time, 60 hours per pay period (every 2 weeks). Two 12-hour shifts one week; three 12-hour shifts the second week, from 5:45 pm – 6:15 am. Self-scheduling and minimal weekend requirements (2 Fridays, 1 Saturday, and 1 Sunday in a 6 week period).
The professional in this position will be responsible for assisting nursing staff in total patient care within the scope of their certification.
Job duties include but are not limited to:
- Assist patients in their daily cares.
- Ambulate patients as instructed.
- Position patient safely, properly and comfortably according to specific needs.
- Take and record vital signs and report to the nurse.
- Clean assigned area, stock and replenish supplies and equipment as required.
- Follow standard precautions and use personal protective equipment as required.
- Must have current nursing assistant certification from a state approved training course.
- Current BLS required at the time of hire.
- Prep/ Cook permit required within 7 days of hire.
- Prefer previous experience in an acute care setting.
