Job Overview
Lincoln Hospital is seeking a skilled and experienced Registered Nurse for the Ambulatory Surgery Department. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care in a fast-paced outpatient/clinic environment, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered service. This role supports clinical operations, patient flow, and procedural readiness within the department.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care in an ambulatory surgery/clinic setting.
Perform assessments, develop care plans, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
Manage patient flow, pre- and post-operative preparation/education, and clinical documentation.
Perform clinical procedures including IV insertion, phlebotomy, and medication administration.
Adhere to NYSED, AHA, and facility-specific safety and regulatory standards.
Support the unit during staffing shortages and anticipated FMLA needs.
Required Skills & Experience
2 years of Med/Surg or clinical nursing experience (required).
Proficient IV insertion and phlebotomy skills (required).
Education Requirements
Required: Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ASN/ADN) from an accredited nursing program.
Certifications & Licensure
Required:
Active New York State RN License.
Primary Source Verification from NYS Department of Education (NYSED).
AHA BLS certification.
AHA ACLS (required for Queens location only – not applicable here unless reassigned).
