SUMMARY:
The incumbent is accountable and responsible for certain financial accounting functions associated with accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger activities, and month-end close. This role ensures accurate financial records and compliance with GAAP, supports audit activities, collaborates with internal business partners, and provides backup support to senior accounting staff as needed. Through attention to detail and effective communication, the incumbent contributes to the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of the Company’s financial operations and reporting.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Responsible for accounts receivable – entering receipts, generating invoices and credit memos, setting up customer profiles, reconciling customer accounts and researching discrepancies.
- Responsible for accounts payable – entering supplier invoices, generating payments, setting up supplier profiles, reconciling supplier accounts and researching discrepancies.
- Prepare month end journal entries.
- Support internal and external auditors by providing schedules and documentation.
- Assist in month-end and year-end closing processes, including accruals and variance analysis.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP.
- Act as liaison between business partners and dept managers.
- Provide backup support for Senior Accountant; including but not limited to account reconciliations, bank reconciliations and fixed asset setup and tracking.
- Any other project assigned by Accounting Manager or management.

- EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
Must have an Associate’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or equivalent; at least 3 years of experience in accounting processes
- SKILLS and ABILITIES:
Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office and Excel, and have an excellent understanding of accounting software; must have a complete understanding of accounting principles and concepts, including budgeting; must have knowledge of data sorting and information understanding; bilingual in Spanish is preferred
