Job Summary
As a Counter Sales Representative, you will be the frontline ambassador for our electric motor parts and service department, delivering exceptional customer service and expert product knowledge. This role is vital in driving sales growth, managing inventory efficiently, and fostering positive relationships with customers and team members alike. Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting motors, parts, accessories, and related products with enthusiasm and professionalism
- Provide expert advice on diagnostics, replacement, repair, and service options to meet customer needs
- Manage inventory levels through stock replenishment, inventory control, and order fulfillment to ensure product availability
- Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately for sales transactions, cash handling, and receipt processing while maintaining excellent cashiering standards
- Negotiate effectively with customers to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain a clean, organized counter area and stock shelves efficiently to facilitate quick service and easy product access
- Utilize communication skills to explain technical information clearly and answer customer inquiries via phone or in person
- Shipping and receiving, loading and unloading customers
Requirements
- Proven experience in sales or maintenance environments with a strong mechanical understanding preferred
- Excellent negotiation skills combined with outstanding customer service abilities
- Familiarity with Quickbooks, Microsoft Excel, and retail math principles is desirable
- Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage stock levels and order fulfillment efficiently
- Effective communication skills with professional phone etiquette for engaging customer interactions
- Ability to handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed records of sales activities
- Must be able to get forklift license certification
- Must be able to lift 40 LBS
