About the Role
The Key Account Manager – Data Center Sales will focus on managing and expanding relationships with existing strategic accounts within the data center sector. The role centers on customer satisfaction, account retention, and growth through close collaboration with technical, operational, and sales teams.
This position works hand-in-hand with the new business sales function to ensure seamless client coverage and support across all phases of the customer journey.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and grow relationships with existing key accounts, ensuring consistent satisfaction, retention, and repeat business.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, providing technical and commercial guidance.
- Identify and develop new opportunities within existing accounts to maximize revenue potential.
- Collaborate closely with internal departments — sales, engineering, project delivery, and logistics — to ensure high-quality service and delivery.
- Manage account performance through effective forecasting, reporting, and CRM (Salesforce) utilization.
- Conduct quarterly business reviews with clients to understand needs, challenges, and upcoming projects.
- Support proposal and bid processes for existing accounts, ensuring compliance with technical and commercial standards.
- Monitor key market trends in the data center sector to proactively identify areas for client support and innovation.
- Work jointly with Regional Sales Managers to share insights, coordinate strategies, and optimize customer engagement.
- Uphold all company standards for health, safety, quality, and environmental compliance.
Required Experience & Skills
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in account management, technical sales, or customer relationship roles within construction, building systems, or data center infrastructure.
- Proven ability to manage complex client relationships and long-term contracts with major corporate or hyperscale accounts.
- Strong commercial and technical understanding of engineered products or building envelope systems.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Skilled in CRM tools such as Salesforce.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Self-motivated with a solutions-focused approach and ability to work autonomously.
- Willingness to travel within assigned regions as required.
