What are the responsibilities and job description for the Resource RN - Registry position at Lightways Hospice and Serious Illness Care?
Founded in 1982 as Joliet Area Community Hospice, Lightways Hospice and Serious Illness Care is an independent nonprofit healthcare provider licensed in 11 counties in northwest Illinois. We have a state-of-the-art facility and the first free standing In-Patient Unit in Illinois. We have over a 35-year history for providing compassionate professional care to terminally ill patients and their families. We are state licensed and Medicare/Medicaid certified.
We are currently seeking a Registry Resource RN. This position works a flexible schedule with minimum of 4 x 8 hrs shifts per month consisting of Friday 11:59pm-8am, and Saturday 11:59pm to 8am. The successful candidate can work additional hours, over and above the minimum of four 4 x 8hr shifts per month. The Resource RN is a float position assignment may be Triage RN desk, field, or Inpatient Unit. Resource RN is responsible for providing skilled nursing intervention and supportive care in patients' homes, nursing homes or long-term care facilities. This RN administers medications and treatments as prescribed by the physician and plan of care, assist with referrals & admissions when needed. Also assists the patient with the activities of daily living and facilitates the patient's efforts toward self-sufficiency and optimal comfort.
Requirements include RN with a minimum of one (1) year nursing experience in the area of public health, home care or hospice nursing preferred. Incumbent must be self-directed and able to work with minimal supervision. Must be a licensed driver with an automobile that is insured in accordance with state or organization requirements and is in good working order.
This is a non-benefit position.
Salary : $70,000 - $110,000
