About the Role:
Outpatient DOC Clinician
The Clinician plays a critical role in delivering high-quality patient care by assessing, diagnosing, and treating individuals with a variety of health conditions. This position requires a compassionate and detail-oriented professional who collaborates closely with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement personalized treatment plans. The Clinician is responsible for monitoring patient progress, adjusting interventions as necessary, and providing education to patients and their families to promote health and wellness. This role demands adherence to ethical standards and regulatory requirements to ensure patient safety and confidentiality. Ultimately, the Clinician contributes to improving patient outcomes and enhancing the overall effectiveness of healthcare services within the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- A valid and unrestricted license to practice as a clinician (e.g., Licensed Clinical Social Worker, Licensed Professional Counselor, or equivalent) in the United States.
- A master's degree or higher in a relevant clinical field such as social work, counseling, psychology, or nursing.
- Demonstrated experience in clinical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment planning.
- Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic modalities and clinical best practices.
- Ability to comply with HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working in diverse healthcare settings including outpatient, inpatient, or community-based environments.
- Certification in specialized therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), or trauma-informed care.
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
- Additional training or certification in cultural competency and working with underserved populations.
- Bilingual proficiency or multilingual skills to better serve diverse patient populations.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments including medical history, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
- Develop, implement, and regularly update individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient needs.
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and optimize patient outcomes.
- Provide counseling and education to patients and their families regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive health measures.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes in compliance with legal and organizational standards.

The Clinician utilizes strong interpersonal and communication skills daily to build trust and rapport with patients, enabling effective assessment and treatment. Critical thinking and clinical reasoning are essential for interpreting patient data and making informed decisions about care plans.
