AWS Technical Lead

Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their AWS Tech Lead with a strong focus in MDM position! This is a 6 month contract -to-hire opportunity and will be remote in the United States working EST hours. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services. No C2C or subcontracting arrangements will be considered.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Lead the design and implementation of cloud-native solutions on AWS, with a strong focus on Master Data Management (MDM).
• Partner with business and product stakeholders to translate requirements into scalable, secure, and cost-effective architectures.
• Architect and build data pipelines, APIs, and microservices using AWS services (e.g., Lambda, S3, Glue, Redshift, DynamoDB, Aurora, Step Functions) and Python.
• Drive cloud modernization initiatives, including infrastructure as code (CDK, Terraform, CloudFormation) and DevOps best practices.
• Guide and mentor engineering teams through architecture decisions, code reviews, and development standards.
• Establish and enforce cloud governance, security, and operational best practices.
• Integrate cloud solutions with enterprise systems (CRM, ERP, BI tools) using APIs and data connectors.
• Support Agile/SAFe delivery by managing technical execution, mitigating risks, and ensuring iterative value delivery.
• Leverage AI/LLM tools to accelerate development, testing, and documentation processes.

What You’ll Need to Have:

• 5 years of experience in AWS cloud architecture, data engineering, or solution development.
• 2 years in a technical leadership role driving architecture and mentoring teams.
• Deep expertise in AWS services including Lambda, S3, Glue, Redshift, DynamoDB, API Gateway, Step Functions, and Aurora.
• Strong Python skills for building data pipelines, automation, and backend services.
• Experience with microservices, API design, and serverless architectures.
• Solid understanding of DevOps practices (CI/CD, observability, infrastructure as code).
• Experience working in Agile, Scrum, or SAFe environments.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with MDM platforms (e.g., Informatica, Reltio, Stibo).
• AWS certifications (Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, Data Analytics).
• Familiarity with modern data platforms (Lakehouse, Snowflake, Athena, Lake Formation).
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and compliance (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
• Experience integrating with enterprise tools such as ServiceNow.

Pay Range: $65-$70/hr
