Recipient Rights Specialist
Join the LifeWays team and help protect and advocate for the rights of individuals receiving behavioral health services. Under the direction of the Recipient Rights Officer, the Recipient Rights Specialist investigates complaints in accordance with the Michigan Mental Health Code and helps ensure consumers are treated with dignity, respect, and fairness.
What You’ll Do
- Investigate recipient rights complaints by conducting interviews, reviewing records, and gathering evidence
- Prepare detailed investigative and intervention reports in compliance with state regulations
- Provide consultation, education, and training to provider network staff on recipient rights and applicable laws
- Participate in incident report reviews and annual site reviews across the provider network
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to support resolution and compliance efforts
- Attend committees and meetings to support consumer protections and quality care
- Help ensure compliance with CARF, MDHHS, and Mental Health Code standards
Salary : $24 - $28
