POSITION SUMMARY:
Under the direct supervision of the Director of Industries, Program Manager is responsible for assisting with overseeing day-to-day operations of LifeSkills Industries, with a primary role in coordinating industrial contract work, but also including responsibility for adult day training services.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Hiring, training, supervising, coaching and discipling staff.
- Ordering and monitoring program supplies
- Communicating and negotiating with industrial business partners.
- Overseeing all production related tasks – ordering, scheduling, tracking, assembling, delivering etc. of materials and products.
- Ensuring compliance with Department of Labor requirements for 14c Wage Certificate.
- Performing and overseeing functions related to billing, invoicing and data management.
- Managing new participant intake process.
- Ensuring quality assurance for participant charts.
- Provide direct supervision, training, and support, including personal care and assistance for participants with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Serve as safety officer, ensuring safety, upkeep and compliance for facility and vehicles.
- Serve as delegate for Director as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Highschool diploma or GED.
- Bachelor’s degree in business or human services field preferred.
- At least 3 years of experience working with individuals with Intellectual and developmental disabilities.
- Prior experience working in an industrial/manufacturing setting preferred.
- Prior supervisory experience preferred.
JOB REQUIREMENTS / EXPECTATIONS:
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
- Willingness to work in a factory setting and utilize typical light manufacturing machines and equipment.
- Ability (or willing to become trained/certified) to drive box truck and forklift.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient with computers and software, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, HRIS and electronic health record systems.
- Ability to collect, analyze and report on data.
