THERAPIST II (52648)

Provides psychotherapy to individuals and families experiencing mental health symptoms and addiction.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Provide direct service/therapy via group, individual, family, and psycho-education to individuals and families experiencing mental health symptoms and addiction.
• Complete intake/screening/assessment process.
• Develop treatment plans for clients, and complete all required documentation, including OTRs and other paperwork associated with service authorization.
• Handle crisis situations as they arise.
• Complete all required documentation by LifeSkills standards and timelines.
• Document all services provided in accordance with agency standards.
• Maintain agency expectation for productivity.
• Participate in clinical staffing/treatment team meetings providing feedback on all pertinent cases.
• Maintain positive, professional relationships with referral sources, clients, and coworkers, adhering to Code of Ethics and agency policies.
• Have knowledge of and follow the Lifeskills’ Core Values.
• Maintain an expert knowledge base regarding current practices and research
• Utilize referral sources and receive referrals as appropriate.
• Be a team member on agency and local committees as needed/assigned.
• Perform other related work as required and assigned.

• Masters degree in social work, mental health counseling, marriage and family, or psychology and state licensure or certification under a professional board.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.
