What are the responsibilities and job description for the THERAPIST II (52648) position at LIFESKILLS GROUP?
Provides psychotherapy to individuals and families experiencing mental health symptoms and addiction.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Provide direct service/therapy via group, individual, family, and psycho-education to individuals and families experiencing mental health symptoms and addiction.
- Complete intake/screening/assessment process.
- Develop treatment plans for clients, and complete all required documentation, including OTRs and other paperwork associated with service authorization.
- Handle crisis situations as they arise.
- Complete all required documentation by LifeSkills standards and timelines.
- Document all services provided in accordance with agency standards.
- Maintain agency expectation for productivity.
- Participate in clinical staffing/treatment team meetings providing feedback on all pertinent cases.
- Maintain positive, professional relationships with referral sources, clients, and coworkers, adhering to Code of Ethics and agency policies.
- Have knowledge of and follow the Lifeskills’ Core Values.
- Maintain an expert knowledge base regarding current practices and research
- Utilize referral sources and receive referrals as appropriate.
- Be a team member on agency and local committees as needed/assigned.
- Perform other related work as required and assigned.
- Masters degree in social work, mental health counseling, marriage and family, or psychology and state licensure or certification under a professional board.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a team environment.
