Full Time Monday - Friday, days; 40 hours weekly
Purchasing Associate perform various tasks related to the procurement process, including daily ordering, tracking, and reconciling of goods and services required through Central Purchasing, filing and administrative duties.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma
- Relevant business experience
- 1 year experience in Purchasing field
- At least eighteen (18) years of age
Job Responsibilities:
- Establish and maintain Central Purchasing and tracking system including web pages, imports, and excel spreadsheets.
- Coordinate product/services tracking and payment history within the Finance Department, including cost analyses as requested or needed.
- Make use of buying groups when possible.
- Place orders for goods and services acquired through Central Purchasing system.
- Make periodic price comparisons on current vendors in the Central Purchasing system.
- Contact and log phone, internet, and web page communication with utility vendors to upgrade or change services.
- Discuss procurement of new vendors with Purchasing Manager and Director of Business.
- Interact with the Purchasing Manager, Director of Business, and Finance Department in order to advise of changes in product, services, or billing.
- Assist in procurement of new equipment and specialty products.
- Issue and maintain grocery cards, set up new accounts.
- Assist with vehicle mileage records, transfer and disposal tracking system.
- Assist vehicle repair and cost tracking system.
- Assist with vehicle registrations.
- Monitor expenditures for discrepancies and work to reduce expenses across all areas of involvement
