Job Purpose:
- The Executive Director of Diabetes Dayton is responsible for the day-to-day operations of Diabetes Dayton. This role involves working closely with the President and CEO, as well as the area Vice Presidents and Human Resource Director of LifeCare Alliance, within an integrated, matrix structure. The Executive Director will ensure the effective management and operational efficiency of Diabetes Dayton.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the daily operations and general management of Diabetes Dayton.
- Directly supervise Diabetes Dayton staff, including recruitment, hiring, evaluations, and terminations, in collaboration with LifeCare Alliance senior management.
- Collaborate with the President and CEO, area Vice Presidents, and Human Resource Director to align operations with organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Develop and implement strategies for operational improvement and growth.
- Engage in development activities to advance the mission of Diabetes Dayton.
- Maintain effective communication and relationships with stakeholders, partners, and the community.
- Monitor financial performance and manage budgets to ensure fiscal responsibility.
- Represent Diabetes Dayton at meetings, conferences, and other events as required.
Required Education:
- Bachelor’s degree
Required Experience:
- Five years’ experience in operating an entity and development activities
- Experience in direct supervision of staff, including recruitment, hiring, evaluations, and terminations
- Experience working within an integrated, matrix structure with senior management
Preferred Experience:
- Advancement experience in a similar role or organization
