The purpose of the DC Admissions Counselor role is to connect, engage, and enroll prospective students across all academic programs at Life University. Counselors serve as essential liaisons between prospective students and the University, building meaningful relationships that support students in identifying their goals and determining their best-fit educational path. Through proactive outreach, personalized communication, and collaborative support, Admissions Counselors guide students through every phase of the enrollment journey—from initial inquiry through application, admission, and pre-enrollment.

Essential Job Functions
- Manage a designated territory or student population using data-informed strategies to support institutional enrollment goals.
- Build and maintain relationships with prospective students, families, counselors, and key stakeholders to guide them through the enrollment process.
- Deliver accurate, timely information regarding academic programs, application procedures, admissions criteria, and student services.
- Represent the University at recruitment events, campus tours, high school visits, fairs, and conferences, both domestically and internationally.
- Develop and implement recruitment strategies, presentations, and events to attract qualified students.
- Use University systems (CRM, SIS) to manage communications, application workflows, reporting, and territory performance.
- Counsel prospective students from inquiry through enrollment, providing updates, guidance, and support with applications, admissions, and pre-enrollment.
- Lead individual and group campus tours, and assist with on-campus recruitment activities.
- Maintain compliance with FERPA and university policies in handling confidential student data.
- Collaborate with internal teams and leadership, sharing outcomes and making recommendations to enhance recruitment and enrollment efforts.
- Provide high-quality, student-centered service in all job functions.
