The Collection Coordinator provides professional financial, clerical and administrative assistance pertaining to the development, implementation, and coordination of procedures related to the collection of amounts due the University from students. The Collection Coordinator performs accounting functions that require a thorough knowledge of departmental operations and policies and may perform various accounting functions related to the recording and collecting of money due the University. The Collection Coordinator oversees compliance with federal regulations related to loans and advises students in meeting financial responsibilities.

- Provides customer service regarding collection issues (payments), processes and reviews account adjustments, resolve discrepancies on student accounts.
- Responsible for Perkins Re-assignment and liquidation process.
- Manages ecashier (third party payment system)
- Responsible for high volume of communications to students.
- Assigns past due accounts per quarter to collection agencies (first and second placement) and processes small balance write-offs.
- Processes settlement offers and provides collection agencies proper documentation.
- Processes invoices and post payments from the collection agencies.
- Establishes and maintains effective and cooperative working relationships with other departments (Financial Aid & Registrar).
- Communicates effectively in a timely manner towards inquiry resolution
- Exhibits student centeredness in performance of all job duties.
