What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tree Climber/Arborist position at Liberty Tree and Landscape Management?
Job Overview
If you’re happiest in a saddle, love a technical rigging challenge, and take pride in making a perfect cut, we want to talk to you. We’re looking for an experienced Tree Climber/Arborist to join our production team in Glenside.
We aren't just "cutting trees"—we’re doing high-quality arboriculture. If you want a job where the gear is top-notch, the safety is serious, and the crew actually knows their stuff, this is the place.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Technical Climbing: Pruning, removals, and precision work. You’ll be the one in the canopy getting the job done right.
- Aerial Operations: When we aren't climbing, you’ll be expertly running the bucket trucks and specialized lifts.
- Smart Rigging: Using advanced techniques to move heavy wood safely in tight spots or over houses.
- Tech in the Field: We use modern tools (like GIS mapping) to track tree health and keep our work precise.
- Leading by Example: We’re big on safety. You’ll make sure the PPE is on, the site is secure, and the job is done by the book.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: You’ve spent plenty of time in a harness. You know your way around a chainsaw, a chipper, and a rigging setup.
- The "Tree Brain": You understand tree biology and regional species—you aren't just cutting; you’re caring for the plant.
- Physical Grit: You love working outdoors (rain or shine) and are comfortable with the heavy lifting and high-altitude nature of the job.
- The License: You need a valid driver’s license and a clean record. If you have a CDL, you’re at the top of our list!
- The Vibe: You’re a professional who communicates well with the crew and takes care of the client’s property.
Why Join Us?
- Better Gear: We provide the safety equipment and modern tools you need to do your best work.
- Growth: We love to see our team move up. There are plenty of opportunities for advancement here.
- The Basics: 401(k) with company match and a steady, full-time schedule.
- Glenside Local: No massive commutes to a corporate HQ—we’re right here in the neighborhood.
Ready to climb? Send us your resume or a summary of your climbing experience. Let’s see if you’re a good fit for the crew.
