Outside/Inside Sales Trainee

Liberty Tree & Landscape Management is seeking a motivated Outside/Inside Sales Trainee to join our growing team.

We specialize in Tree Care, Plant Health Care, Lawn Care, and Landscape Services. This position is designed for someone interested in developing sales and lead generation skills through a combination of outside canvassing and inside sales support.

A major part of this role will involve reviewing our scheduled jobs, identifying nearby properties and potential customers, preparing efficient canvassing routes, and going door-to-door to generate new leads. The position will also assist with inside sales activities, customer follow-up, and lead tracking.

Responsibilities

Outside Sales & Canvassing

• Review the daily and weekly job schedule to identify areas for canvassing.
• Prepare organized canvassing routes around scheduled tree and landscape jobs.
• Travel to designated neighborhoods and conduct door-to-door canvassing.
• Introduce Liberty Tree & Landscape Management and our services to nearby homeowners.
• Identify homeowners who may be interested in tree care, Plant Health Care, lawn care, or landscape services.
• Generate new leads and gather accurate customer contact and property information.
• Properly report all leads generated through canvassing.
• Distribute approved company marketing materials and door hangers.
• Represent Liberty Tree & Landscape Management professionally in the community.

Inside Sales & Lead Generation

• Assist our sales representatives with customer follow-up and lead generation.
• Follow up with leads and potential customers by phone, email, and text.
• Contact previous customers and warm leads regarding additional services.
• Assist with outbound calling campaign.
• Maintain accurate records of leads, conversations, and follow-up activity in Jobber, our CRM system.
• Track lead generation and sales activity using Excel and company reporting tools.
• Help ensure new leads are properly entered, assigned, and followed up on.
• Work with the sales and office teams to help achieve lead generation and company sales goals.

Requirements

• Comfortable approaching and speaking with homeownersdoor-to-door.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Comfortable making outbound phone calls and following up with potential customers.
• Motivated by goals and measurable results.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• Ability to work independently in the field and as part of an office/sales team.
• Ability to learn how to prepare and follow canvassing routes.
• Comfortable using mobile apps, email, and basic computer programs.
• Basic Excel skills preferred.
• CRM experience is a plus; Jobber experience is helpful but not required. Training will be provided.
• Previous experience in sales, canvassing, customer service, lead generation, appointment setting, or similar work is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
• Professional, dependable, and comfortable working both indoors and outdoors.

This is a trainee position, so we are looking for someone who wants to learn both the outside and inside sides of the sales process and grow their skills within Liberty Tree & Landscape Management.

Pay: $17.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 per week
