Position Overview
This role provides technical and design support for mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection engineering projects as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The position focuses on developing design and construction drawings, technical specifications, and engineering documentation for institutional, commercial, and industrial facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical and design services for mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Collaborate directly with clients to understand project requirements and provide engineering solutions.
- Conduct preliminary evaluations and prepare engineering reports.
- Develop design drawings, technical specifications, and permit submittals.
- Manage multiple project tasks simultaneously and deliver work within established schedules and budgets.
- Support multidisciplinary project teams throughout project planning, design, and execution phases.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or ability to obtain licensure through reciprocity within a short timeframe.
- 5 years of experience in mechanical design and HVAC system analysis.
- Ability to work effectively within a team environment while also managing independent assignments.
- Strong technical knowledge, communication skills, and problem-solving abilities.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience with plumbing and fire protection system design.
- Experience supporting healthcare facility projects.
- Valid driver’s license and acceptable background record may be required depending on project needs.
