Mechanical HVAC Engineer

We are seeking a Mechanical HVAC Engineer with 1–5 years of experience to join our MEP team. This role will support the design and development of HVAC and mechanical systems for commercial, institutional, and/or residential projects. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, technically strong, and eager to grow within a collaborative engineering environment.
Responsibilities:
- Design HVAC systems including heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and exhaust systems
- Perform heating and cooling load calculations
- Develop ductwork and piping layouts
- Prepare construction documents using AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Coordinate with electrical, plumbing, and structural teams
- Assist with equipment selection and specifications
- Conduct site visits and field inspections as needed
- Support senior engineers and project managers throughout project lifecycle
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 1–5 years of HVAC design experience (internships included)
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit
- Familiarity with load calculation software
- Understanding of applicable codes and standards
- EIT certification or on track to obtain preferred
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Experience with commercial or institutional building systems
- Exposure to energy modeling or sustainable design (LEED)
- Knowledge of building controls and energy-efficient systems
