Liberty Christian Preparatory School is seeking Christ-centered, mission-driven educators to serve in middle school and high school classrooms across multiple subject areas. Teachers are responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging instruction while intentionally integrating biblical truth and modeling Christian character.
This role requires a commitment not only to academic excellence, but also to spiritual leadership, discipleship, and partnership with families.
Key Responsibilities
Instruction & Curriculum
- Plan and deliver engaging, standards-aligned lessons in assigned subject area(s)
- Utilize school-approved curriculum (e.g., BJU Press and supplemental resources)
- Differentiate instruction to meet diverse student needs
- Incorporate technology effectively (Google Classroom, assessments, instructional tools)
- Maintain clear lesson objectives and measurable outcomes
Student Development
- Foster a structured, respectful, and Christ-centered classroom environment
- Model biblical values in all interactions with students
- Provide academic support, feedback, and intervention as needed
- Monitor student progress and communicate regularly with parents
- Encourage critical thinking, collaboration, and responsibility
Assessment & Accountability
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date gradebooks
- Provide at least one measurable grade per subject per week
- Analyze student performance data to inform instruction
- Prepare students for internal and external assessments (e.g., MAP Growth)
Professional Responsibilities
- Attend faculty meetings, professional development, and school events
- Fulfill assigned duties (carline, lunch, supervision, etc.)
- Collaborate with colleagues, administration, and support staff
- Adhere to all school policies, procedures, and expectations
Spiritual Expectations
- Demonstrate a personal and growing relationship with Jesus Christ
- Serve as a Christian role model in speech, conduct, and leadership
- Integrate biblical principles into teaching and classroom culture
- Actively attend and support a local church of like faith
- Support the mission and vision of Liberty Christian Preparatory School
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (required)
- 1–3 years of teaching experience preferred
- Strong content knowledge in assigned subject area
- Effective classroom management and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to integrate faith and learning in a meaningful way
- Proficiency with instructional technology and digital tools
Pay: From $45,000.00 per year
