Park Maitland School is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Middle School Math Teacher to join our faculty team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mathematics instruction, a passion for working with middle school students, and a commitment to academic excellence.
The teacher will design engaging and developmentally appropriate lessons for students in grades 6–8, helping them build conceptual understanding, confidence, and problem-solving skills in mathematics. This role requires strong classroom management, the ability to differentiate instruction, and a dedication to fostering curiosity and intellectual growth in young learners.

- Develop and deliver engaging, standards-aligned mathematics lessons for students in grades 6–8.
- Promote conceptual understanding and real-world application of mathematical principles.
- Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs, readiness levels, and interests of students.
- Assess student learning through both formative and summative assessments to inform instruction and support academic growth.
- Foster a classroom environment built on respect, collaboration, and intellectual risk-taking.
- Provide timely and constructive feedback to support students’ academic progress and confidence in mathematics.
- Maintain regular communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and classroom updates.
- Integrate technology and innovative instructional strategies to enhance learning experiences.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and strengthen the middle school program.
- Participate actively in faculty meetings, professional development, and school events as an engaged member of the community.
- Model the mission and values of Park Maitland School through professionalism, reflection, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Valid teaching certification in mathematics or middle school education.
- Previous teaching experience in a middle school setting preferred.
- Strong understanding of best practices in middle school math instruction and adolescent development.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive, engaging, and structured learning environment.
- Proficiency in using technology to support instruction and student learning.
- Commitment to professional growth, collaboration, and lifelong learning.
Salary : $53,000 - $65,000
