Liberty Behavioral & Community Services, Inc. is seeking a dependable and skilled Facility & Operations Coordinator to ensure the safety, functionality, and smooth daily operations of our facilities. This role combines hands‑on maintenance responsibilities with operational oversight, including supervision of security personnel and management of all facility access systems.
The ideal candidate has strong maintenance experience, excellent problem‑solving skills, and the ability to respond quickly to operational needs. This position requires reliability, sound judgment, and the flexibility to support 24‑hour facility operations, including stepping in to cover security shifts when necessary.
Key ResponsibilitiesFacility Operations & Maintenance- Perform routine inspections and maintenance of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety equipment
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff, including repairs to fixtures, furniture, and appliances
- Conduct preventative maintenance and maintain accurate documentation of all work performed
- Ensure all facility areas remain clean, safe, and operational
- Manage and track maintenance supplies, tools, and equipment
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors for specialized repairs or large‑scale projects
- Supervise and oversee all on‑site security guards, ensuring proper coverage, professionalism, and adherence to safety protocols
- Serve as the primary point of contact for security staffing issues, including call‑offs, no‑shows, or emergencies
- Be available during a 24‑hour operational cycle to respond to security staffing gaps, including covering a security shift when necessary
- Ensure all security procedures are followed to maintain a safe environment for clients, staff, and visitors
- Maintain responsibility for all facility keys, access cards, and security codes
- Track, issue, and retrieve keys for authorized personnel
- Ensure secure handling and storage of all access tools
- Monitor and enforce access control policies to protect the facility
- Assist with facility setup for meetings, events, and program activities
- Support daily operational logistics to ensure smooth functioning of all facility services
- Collaborate with leadership to improve facility processes and safety procedures
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or certification in maintenance is a plus
- Minimum 2 years of experience in facility maintenance, building operations, or a related role
- Strong general repair skills and the ability to troubleshoot issues independently
- Experience supervising staff or overseeing security personnel preferred
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Physical ability to lift, climb, and perform maintenance tasks at various heights
- Reliable transportation and the ability to respond quickly to facility needs, including after‑hours emergencies
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare, residential, or community service environments
- Familiarity with safety regulations and facility compliance standards
- Certifications in electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or related fields
