Job Summary:
The Receptionist at Liberal High School serves as the first point of contact for students, staff, parents, and visitors. This position is responsible for maintaining a welcoming and professional front office environment while providing essential administrative support to ensure the daily operations of the school run smoothly.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Greet all students, staff, parents, and visitors with professionalism and warmth, providing a positive first impression of Liberal High School.- Answer, screen, and direct incoming phone calls promptly and courteously.
- Maintain accurate logs and records as required (i.e., visitor logs, student check-ins/outs, deliveries, etc.).
- Manage and monitor daily student attendance, including late arrivals and early dismissals, and communicate attendance concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Oversee the school’s lost and found area and maintain organization and communication about items.
- Provide information and assistance to students, parents, and staff regarding school procedures and policies.
- Assist administrators with various clerical and organizational tasks as needed.
- Monitor front office traffic and ensure compliance with school safety and visitor protocols.
- Support event coordination and communications for school-wide functions and meetings.
- Maintain confidentiality of student and staff information in accordance with school and district policy.

- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications and Skills:
High school diploma or equivalent required.- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in a busy office environment.
- Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Gmail) and other office-related software.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive situations with discretion.
- Experience in a school or customer service setting preferred.
