Temporary Accountant

Accountant (Temporary)

LHH Recruitment Solutions is looking for an experienced accounting professional to help a client with a transition in their accounting department. Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor Degree in Accounting and at least 2 years of standard accrual-based month end accounting. This position is a temporary role that will last between 1 and 4 months. Pay will range between $30 and $35/hr.

Responsibilities:

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
• Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions in accordance with GAAP.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet accounts, including accruals, prepaids, and fixed assets.
• Assist in the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze financial data.
• Support internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the close process.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience, with a focus on the standard accrual monthly close process.
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
