Senior Mechanical Project Manager

Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
- Manage large, technically complex construction projects with a focus on safety, quality, schedule, and financial performance
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, general contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders
- Conduct regular jobsite visits and attend required project meetings
Financial & Schedule Management
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules of values, and cost forecasts
- Track scope changes, prepare change order pricing, and support negotiations with customers
- Prepare accurate monthly work‑in‑progress (WIP) reports and cost‑to‑complete forecasts
Pre‑Construction & Planning
- Support estimating and pre‑construction teams during bid reviews and project handoffs
- Lead project kickoffs, pre‑planning sessions, milestone reviews, and closeout meetings
- Establish execution plans, cost codes, and equipment release schedules
Documentation & Compliance
- Review and approve subcontracts, major purchase orders, and invoices
- Ensure timely processing of submittals, RFIs, drawings, and closeout documentation
- Oversee monthly billings in accordance with contract requirements
Team Development & Collaboration
- Mentor and support Project Engineers and Project Managers on best practices and constructability
- Promote a collaborative, solution‑oriented team environment
- Identify risks early and communicate challenges with actionable solutions
Safety & Quality
- Lead by example in maintaining a safe, injury‑free jobsite
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and quality expectations
Performance Measures
- Achievement of project financial and productivity goals
- Accuracy and timeliness of reporting and billings
- Customer and partner satisfaction
- Safety performance and jobsite compliance
Qualifications
Experience & Education
- 4 years of project management experience in construction or mechanical/HVAC environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
Technical & Professional Skills
- Strong knowledge of construction project execution, budgeting, and scheduling
- Ability to interpret construction documents, specifications, and contracts
- Proficiency with project management, scheduling, and financial software tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Other Requirements
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to travel regularly to jobsites (typically within a regional area)
- Ability to work in both office and active construction site environments
Work Environment
This role includes time spent in an office setting as well as on active jobsites. Jobsite conditions may involve exposure to outdoor weather, noise, and typical construction hazards. Physical requirements may include standing, walking, lifting up to 25 pounds, and navigating uneven terrain.
Salary : $130,000 - $170,000
