We’re partnering with a growing organization delivering complex, contract-driven projects. They’re looking for a Project Controller to serve as the primary finance partner to Project Management—owning project financials end-to-end and driving reporting clarity, cash discipline, and margin protection across active contracts. What You’ll Do
As the Project Controller, you’ll lead the financial management of assigned projects and support project teams with proactive analysis and decision support. Key responsibilities include:
- Own project financial reporting and ensure accurate, on-time project performance insights
- Drive consistent reporting across project stakeholders (operations, sourcing, fabrication, etc.)
- Track and communicate risks, opportunities, savings, and margin drivers
- Monitor and forecast contract cash flow, including cash-in/cash-out planning
- Support development of site/project forecasts and variance analysis (actuals vs. forecast vs. target)
- Manage foreign exchange exposures tied to project execution (as applicable)
- Coordinate bonds and guarantees with Treasury or internal finance partners
- Partner with Contract/Project teams to manage billing milestones and support commercial outcomes
- Contribute to change/variation order evaluation (internal costing customer pricing)
- Ensure project reviews follow required procedures with strong documentation (including unresolved changes, risks, and savings)
- Help implement and improve project controlling standards, practices, and financial discipline from tender through close-out
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field
- 5 years of progressive experience in project controlling / project finance (EPC strongly preferred)
- Strong working knowledge of cost control, budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and project financial governance
- Proven ability to identify and communicate financial risk and support compliant decision-making
- Confidence partnering with non-finance stakeholders and explaining financial concepts clearly
- Strong analytical skills with a practical, “roll-up-your-sleeves” mindset
- Comfort working in a matrix organization with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities
- Experience with ERP/financial systems and data-driven reporting tools
Nice to Have (Optional)
- Exposure to contract-based accounting, milestone billing, or project margin tracking
- Experience supporting multi-entity or cross-regional project reporting
- Background coordinating with Treasury on FX, bonding, guarantees, or similar instruments
Salary : $120,000 - $140,000
