LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a growing energy company in the Oklahoma City, OK area to fill a Procurement Specialist position. This position is a unique blend of procurement, accounts payable, and inventory support responsibilities, providing exposure to multiple areas of the business.
The ideal candidate enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong organizational skills, and is comfortable collaborating across operations, finance, sales, and warehouse teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Source and procure materials, chemicals, supplies, and services from approved vendors
- Create, manage, and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery
- Process vendor invoices and perform three-way matching (PO, invoice, and receipt)
- Verify pricing, quantities, and supporting documentation for accuracy
- Assist with inventory tracking, reconciliation, and record maintenance
- Support the preparation of customer bids and proposals
- Maintain supplier information, pricing data, and vendor agreements
- Coordinate with internal departments to resolve purchasing and invoicing issues
- Conduct supplier research and assist with vendor performance evaluations
- Support cost-saving initiatives and month-end activities
- Prepare reports and perform other administrative duties as needed
Qualifications
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience in procurement, accounts payable, inventory, supply chain, or a related field
- Experience with vendor invoice processing and purchase order matching preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Accounting, or a related field preferred
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience working with ERP systems
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and adapt to changing business needs
- Experience in the oil & gas, chemical, manufacturing, or industrial sectors is a plus
