Controller | High-Growth Software Company

LHH is partnered with a small, privately held software company on a newly created Controller search! As the company continues to grow, primarily through organic growth, this individual will play a key role in bringing the accounting function fully in-house and building the future accounting team.

Responsibilities:

• Own the month-end and year-end close processes
• Build and enhance internal controls
• Manage deferred revenue and revenue recognition
• Prepare internal and external financial reporting
• Coordinate tax matters with the outside accounting firm
• Support investor relations activities related to accounting and finance
• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications:

• 6 years of accounting experience required
• Prior management experience required
• CPA or CPA candidate strongly preferred
• ASC 606 experience required, including a strong understanding of recurring revenue models and revenue recognition
• SaaS or technology industry experience preferred but not required
• Strong communication skills with the ability to thrive in a high-growth environment
