Position Overview
This role is responsible for transforming procurement into a data-driven, systems-enabled function. You will lead process design, optimize ERP and reporting tools, and drive advanced analytics to improve purchasing performance, inventory efficiency, and vendor outcomes.
You will also provide leadership to the procurement team while building scalable, efficient workflows that support long-term growth.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement Operations & Leadership
- Lead and develop Procurement Coordinators through structured workflows and KPI-driven performance management
- Establish and track key operational metrics (PO cycle time, order accuracy, fill rates, vendor reliability)
- Drive accountability and consistency through standardized processes
- Coach, mentor, and develop team members through ongoing feedback and performance management
- Identify skill gaps and implement training initiatives to strengthen team capability
Analytics & Process Improvement
- Develop and implement data-driven purchasing strategies, including:
- Order batching and consolidation
- Order frequency optimization
- Analyze vendor performance, lead time variability, and service levels
- Build models to optimize the balance between inventory, service levels, and working capital
- Translate data into actionable insights to improve cost, efficiency, and service
Systems & Optimization
- Own procurement systems (ERP, reporting tools, workflow platforms)
- Lead system enhancements and process improvements
- Partner cross-functionally with supply chain, operations, and finance teams
- Align purchasing strategies with demand planning and inventory needs
Qualifications
Required:
- 7 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or purchasing within a manufacturing, food production, or distribution environment
- Strong analytical mindset with experience using data to drive decision-making
- Advanced experience with ERP/MRP systems and procurement tools
- Strong communication skills with the ability to partner cross-functionally
Preferred:
- Experience in high-volume food, or CPG environments
- Experience with procurement transformation, process improvement, or automation initiatives
- Advanced Excel or reporting capabilities (e.g., modeling, data analysis tools)

Salary : $115,000 - $130,000
